1. ETHTECH SERVICES.
The growing presence of digital media has created new ethical and regulatory compliance dilemmas in the healthcare industry. Through Online consultations (“Online Consultations”), training workshops (“Workshops”), and all other resources and services made available by EthTech through the official EthTech website located at EthTechUSA.com (“Website”) (collectively, the “EthTech Services”), EthTech’s goal is to empower healthcare providers and organizations as they navigate a technology-centric world.
2. WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES ETHTECH COLLECT?
EthTech collects two main categories of information. First, EthTech collects information that you knowingly and directly provide to EthTech via the EthTech Services.
Second, as you use the EthTech Services, EthTech will collect certain types of information that does not directly identify you as a person but may be used to uniquely identify the web browser or device you are using to access the EthTech Services. This type of information is automatically collected via Cookies (as defined in Section 5 below) and includes:
- “Location Information,” which means general information about the location you’re using the EthTech Services from (e.g. geolocation, country, and city); and
- “Device and Log Information,” which means technical information about the web browser and device you are using to access the EthTech Services including, without limitation, IP addresses, access dates and times, operating system and operating system version, browser type, network information, your language settings, and time zone settings.
Information that you directly give to us, Location Information, and Device and Log Information are collectively “Personal Information.” We use Personal Information for the purposes explained in the table below.

As described in the EthTech Terms of Service (https://ethtechusa.com/terms-conditions/), you will need to create an EthTech account (“Account”) to use some of the EthTech Services. You will need to provide a valid email address and password. We will use your email address to create and administer your Account and to send you administrative emails (e.g. emails to confirm your Online Consultation and Workshop registrations and to send you other information about your Account).To Send You Newsletters:
On the Website, you may give EthTech your email address to sign up for a mailing list and receive newsletters and updates about EthTech (“Newsletters”). EthTech will use your email address to periodically send you Newsletters. For instructions on how to opt-out of receiving Newsletters, please see Section 6 below.
Communications:
If you communicate with EthTech via email or by phone, EthTech will collect and use your phone number, email address, and other information you choose to provide to respond to your requests, questions, and comments.
Your Payment Method and Billing Information
To Process Your Payments for the EthTech Services:
Some parts of the EthTech Services (e.g. Online Consultations and Workshops) are accessible via purchase only. To pay for an Online Consultation or Workshop, you will need to provide a method of payment and related billing information so that EthTech can process such payment.EthTech uses a Service Provider (as defined below) to process your payments, and such information will be stored on such Service Provider’s servers.

3. THIRD-PARTY ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION.
EthTech will only share your Personal Information in the following ways:
A. With Service Providers: Like most businesses, EthTech use tools and services from service providers to help EthTech with various parts of its business (“Service Providers”). Depending on the service EthTech needs, these Service Providers may have access to your Personal Information. For example, EthTech uses a Service Provider’s email software to manage its Newsletter subscriptions, and if you have given EthTech your email address to subscribe to Newsletters, then your email address will be shared with that Service Provider.
EthTech contractually requires all Service Providers to treat your Personal Information as confidential information and to only use it for the services required by EthTech. However, EthTech does not have direct control over how Service Providers use your Personal Information and EthTech cannot guarantee that its Service Providers will use your Personal Information as required in its contract with them. For this reason, EthTech is not responsible for Service Providers’ misuse of your Personal Information.
B. For Business Transfers: As EthTech continues to develop its business, it may reorganize as a business entity, acquire entities, subsidiaries, or business units, or enter into joint ventures with third parties. In any of these types of transactions, any information you provide may be one of the transferred business assets (subject to any pre-existing privacy notice unless you consent otherwise). If all or substantially all of EthTech’s assets are acquired or if it merges with a third-party, your Personal Information will likely be one of the transferred assets. You understand and agree that EthTech reserves the right to transfer any information collected from you in the case of any such transfer. In such event, EthTech will use reasonable efforts to notify you before your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
C. For Legal Reasons: EthTech may disclose information you provide to respond to subpoenas, court orders, requests from authorities, and other legal process, and to establish/exercise EthTech’s legal rights. EthTech may also disclose your information to defend against legal claims when EthTech believes that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. EthTech may share your information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of EthTech’s Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
4. HOW LONG WILL ETHTECH RETAIN MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In general, EthTech will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed to maintain your Account and to perform the EthTech Services, although it may need to retain Personal Information for longer periods to comply with legal requirements.
5. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES.
A. What Are Cookies? Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website you visit. Cookies, along with other similar tracking technologies (e.g. e.g. web beacons, pixels, and web storage) (collectively, “Cookies”) are generally used to uniquely identify your browser or to store information. Cookies are either first-party cookies, meaning they are set by the operator of the website, or third-party cookies, meaning they are set by a party other than the operator of the website.
B. How Does EthTech Use Cookies?
i. For Analytics: As an online business, it is important for EthTech to know how its users interact with the Website and use the EthTech Services. Via Cookies, EthTech and its Service Providers will collect your Location Information and Device Information so that EthTech can deliver and perform the EthTech Services, measure, analyze, and improve performance of the EthTech Services, and to continually update and develop the EthTech Services. For example, EthTech will use this information to fix any bugs or errors on the Website, to evaluate the demographic of its users, and to help EthTech identify which parts of the EthTech Services are the most popular and which seem to need improvement.
ii. For Advertising and Marketing: EthTech may work with third-party advertising companies who will use Cookies on the Website to market and advertise the EthTech Services on third-party websites.
C. Your Cookie Choices: Most web browsers automatically accept Cookies, but you can update your web browser settings to completely decline some or all Cookies. However, deleting Cookies or setting your web browser to decline Cookies may cause the EthTech Services to not function optimally. 6. YOUR CHOICES.
A. How Do I Unsubscribe From/Opt-Out of Receiving Newsletters? If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving Newsletters, you can click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email and you will stop receiving Newsletters. Please allow up to 24 hours before you stop receiving Newsletters. However, you may continue to receive emails unrelated to marketing (e.g. emails relating to your Account and this Privacy Policy).
B. How Do I Change or Update My Personal Information? You can only update and change the Personal Information that you directly provide to EthTech. To update your email address and phone number, you may do so by going to your Account.
7. DO NOT TRACK.
Although you may be able to update your web browser settings to transmit a Do-Not-Track (DNT) signal to websites and advertisers (indicating that you do not want your online activities to be tracked), there is no universal standard for DNT technology at this time. For this reason, EthTech does not respond to DNT signals submitted by web browsers, so please follow Section 5 to exercise controls over cookies.
8. IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?
The security of your Personal Information is important to EthTech. EthTech follows generally accepted industry standards to protect your Personal Information, both during transmission and once it is received. EthTech and its Service Providers use appropriate security measures to protect Personal Information, such as ensuring that all transfer of Personal Information is done via secured connections and encryption. However, no method of transmission or storage can be 100% secure and EthTech cannot guarantee its absolute security.
9. THIRD PARTIES AND THEIR PRIVACY NOTICES.
Throughout the Website, you may see links to third-party website, features, and services. EthTech is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and when accessing their features or services, EthTech encourages you to read their privacy notices.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY.
EthTech may make changes this Privacy Policy from time to time. When it does, EthTech will notify you by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Other times, it may provide you with additional notice by displaying a banner on the Website or emailing you if it has your email address on file.
